01

Does getting a tattoo hurt?

It varies from person to person. Most people feel discomfort while getting tattooed but the pain level really depends on the individuals pain tolerance, the location of the tattoo on the body and the duration of the session. Most clients describe the sensation as more of a mild to moderate discomfort rather than intense pain. I also offer a numbing cream option for an extra price if you would like to add that to your appointment.

(Please do not take pain killers prior to getting a tattoo as it thins your blood and makes tattooing more difficult/last longer than it has to!)

02

How much will a tattoo cost?

Tattoo cost depends on the complexity and size of the tattoo. Since I work from a private studio, I have more flexibility over my prices than other artists and I try to be as budget friendly as possible. However, considering this is a piece of artwork that will be going on your skin forever, tattoo prices reflect that.

My tattoo minimum is $100 and I also do tiny tats starting at $30 on select deal days!

03

Will my tattoo fade?

Over time, tattoos can experience some degree of fading. Several factors contribute to this, including exposure to sunlight, different weather climate or harsh skin care routines. However, proper aftercare and sun protection can significantly slow down the fading process. Using sunscreen and moisturizing the tattooed area regularly can help preserve the vibrancy and longevity of your tattoo

04

How long does it take to heal?

While the surface healing might be visible within a few weeks, it can take up to several months for the deeper layers of the skin to fully heal and for the tattoo to settle into its final appearance. Initially, there might be redness, tenderness, and scabbing, followed by peeling and itching. It's crucial to follow the aftercare instructions provided to avoid complications.

05

Can I get an infection from a tattoo?

While rare, there is a risk of infection associated with getting a tattoo if proper aftercare procedures are not followed. Tattoo-related infections can manifest as redness, swelling, increased pain, or discharge at the tattoo site. To minimize this risk, keeping the tattoo clean, moisturized, and protected from potential contaminants, significantly reduces the likelihood of infection. Specially during the first week of the healing process. If any concerning symptoms develop post-tattooing, seeking medical advice is advisable.

Can I tattoo over scars/moles?

For the most, part we avoid tattooing over moles due to future skin cancer risks. I do tattoo over scars but please keep in mind that not all scar tissue can be tattooed over! Also, Scars often have different textures and pigmentation compared to regular skin, which can affect how the tattoo appears so please keep that in mind before booking.

09

10

Can I bring my own design?

11

Can I get a tattoo while pregnant or breastfeeding?

No. It's generally advised to avoid getting a tattoo while pregnant or breastfeeding. The process involves needles and potential exposure to ink, which might pose risks to the developing fetus or the nursing baby. While there isn't extensive research on the effects of tattoo ink on pregnancy or breastfeeding, it's considered a precautionary measure to postpone tattooing during this time to ensure the health and safety of both the mother and the baby. Hormonal changes during pregnancy can also affect the skin's sensitivity and healing process, potentially leading to complications.
